Ambassador’s Reception for New Councillors
The Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Zulfiqar Gardezi, hosted a reception for newly-elected Danish Councillors of Pakistani-origin at his residence today. Following the local government elections in Denmark in November 2017, eight Pakistani-origin candidates were elected to local councils and one to the Regional Council.
In his remarks on the occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the Councillors on their election and noted that they were a good example of the success achieved by Danish persons of Pakistani-origin. He highlighted the cordial relations between Pakistan and Denmark of which the Pakistani-origin community constituted an important component. The Pakistan government had recently approved grant of dual nationality facility.
Ambassador Gardezi hoped that the Councillors will successfully address issues of their jurisdiction especially matters relating to the Pakistani community. The Councillors appreciated the efforts of the Embassy to provide an occasion for exchange of views on matters of interest to the Pakistani community.

It has come to the notice of the Embassy of Pakistan Copenhagen that some recently established self-styled “NADRA Advice Bureaus” are charging money from the applicants for helping them submit their Online NADRA Applications.
The Embassy clarifies that these “NADRA Advice Bureaus” operating at some places in Denmark are unauthorized entities, not sanctioned by the Embassy.
It may be noted that the Online Application Service for NICOP/PoC was started to facilitate the applicants to submit their NICOP/PoC applications from any place of convenience.
Since such Bureaus have no official authorization to operate, the Embassy will not be responsible for loss of money or theft of information of the applicants. Some of the applicants are already facing difficulties in NICOP processing due to fudging in their applications by the above mentioned Bureaus.
The purported “NADRA Advice Bureaus” are also warned that any use of the logo of the Government of Pakistan would be illegal and liable to prosecution.
The Pakistani community members, in their own interest, are advised to beware of the situation.
