Pakistan Embassy Celebrates Pakistan Day
Pakistan Day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour in Denmark today. The flag-hoisting at the Pakistan Embassy premises was performed by Ambassador Syed Zulfiqar Gardezi. The ceremony was attended by a large gathering of Pakistani community from Copenhagen and other parts of Denmark.
The ceremony commenced with Recitation from the Holy Quran and concluded with prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion by Ambassador Gardezi and Counsellor Ismat Hassan respectively. Popular milli songs performed by students in colourful national attire, poetry recitation and well known melodies sung by members of Pakistani community drew an enthusiastic response from the audience.
In his remarks on the occasion, Ambassador Gardezi highlighted the priorities of the Pakistan government, progress in Pakistan-Denmark relations and the various initiatives taken by the Embassy in recent months. He noted that Pakistan was a peace-loving country and a responsible member of the international community. Pakistan’s steadfast support to the Kashmir cause was reaffirmed. Ambassador Gardezi described peaceful, prosperous and independent nation as the guiding objective and quoted excerpts from the Resolution adopted in Lahore on 23 March 1940 in this regard.
The Ambassador stated the government viewed overseas Pakistanis as an asset; their love for the country was evident in the large turnout. He reiterated his pledge of equal treatment to Pakistanis living in Denmark.

It has come to the notice of the Embassy of Pakistan Copenhagen that some recently established self-styled “NADRA Advice Bureaus” are charging money from the applicants for helping them submit their Online NADRA Applications.
The Embassy clarifies that these “NADRA Advice Bureaus” operating at some places in Denmark are unauthorized entities, not sanctioned by the Embassy.
It may be noted that the Online Application Service for NICOP/PoC was started to facilitate the applicants to submit their NICOP/PoC applications from any place of convenience.
Since such Bureaus have no official authorization to operate, the Embassy will not be responsible for loss of money or theft of information of the applicants. Some of the applicants are already facing difficulties in NICOP processing due to fudging in their applications by the above mentioned Bureaus.
The purported “NADRA Advice Bureaus” are also warned that any use of the logo of the Government of Pakistan would be illegal and liable to prosecution.
The Pakistani community members, in their own interest, are advised to beware of the situation.
