The Embassy of Pakistan, Copenhagen today celebrated the Pakistan Day in a simple and graceful ceremony. The Pakistani community in Denmark participated in the event. Following the flag hoisting, messages of the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out by the Charge d’ Affairs, a.i..

In her remarks on the occasion, the Charge d’ Affairs highlighted the importance of the event in the history of making of Pakistan and underscored the need for reminding the future generations about the purpose of the creation of Pakistan. She emphasized that efforts and sacrifices made by the founders of Pakistan for its creation were a debt to be repaid. The Charge d’ Affairs noted the importance of building stronger links between the Embassy and the youth of the community, who are the future of Pakistan. She called on the youth to come forward and put in their efforts for the prosperity of the country.

The Charge d’ Affairs also spoke about the situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the people of IIOJK until they achieve their right to self-determination. In this regard she praised the efforts of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora for highlighting the key issue in Denmark.
